Commentary

Deprived areas, like the Favelas in Brazil, are huge concentrators of inequality.

Both forecasts and statistics confirm that the population of deprived areas is growing and will keep on growing. According to the United Nations, from 2011 to 2030 the world population will grow 18,5% while the number of people living in deprived areas will double.

In order to implement new inclusive business models, based on win-win outcomes, poverty reduction, equality enhancement and environmental respect we need a new generation of leaders really committed to social and environmental values.

I would like to thank Pablo Blazquez, Sandra Gallego and all ETHIC team for this publication.
